General FAQ’s
What’s included?
The price of the trip covers; your floating accommodation for the week, access to all the events during the trip and all the extra fees that most sail companies don’t include (mooring fees/fuel etc).
What’s not included?
Some things you need to source yourself include; flights to and from the trip (we don’t include these in the price because we have members all over the world and flight prices vary all over), food and drink (we understand that everyone has different wants and needs when it comes to food, so we leave this flexible for you) and comprehensive travel insurance (please make sure the insurance you get covers you for the desired activity).
Do I need insurance?
Yes! We encourage all of our guests to get comprehensive coverage and make sure that it is specific to the activity that you’re partaking in.

Can I secure a spot early?
We aren’t able to allow anyone to book onto our trips early. We leave everything completely fair for everyone!
Are all the activities mandatory?
The events that we build into our itinerary are included in the price of your ticket, but they are all completely optional whether you want to join or not. If you need a break during the trip, that’s totally fine, just let us know! We may also have some optional extras that you can add to your booking. Just enquire with our host team in the group chat or send us an email!
Can I book more than one ticket?
At the moment, our booking page only allows for you to book one ticket at a time. This is because our community is built to help connect strangers all over the world!
Can I change my card details?
Absolutely, just contact us at [email protected] and we can setup a quick call to change your details over the phone.
Are flights included?
We don’t include flights in our trips because we have people from all over the world join our trips. Flight prices vary massively from one place to the next, so we wouldn’t be able to include the cost of flights for everyone.
What currencies do you accept?
We accept currencies from over 135 countries and you can pay the price of the trip in your local currency (whatever the conversion rate may be). You simply put in your payment info and our system will do the converting for you.
What forms of payment do you accept?

What time do tickets go live?

Is it okay to come alone?
Absolutely! If anything it’s encouraged! Our platform is all about connecting people from all over the world to make new friendships and make memorable experiences together.
How does booking work?
At x time we will send the booking link into the INFO group chat for the trip. The tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis - so make sure that you are ready and waiting for the link to appear in the chat.
What is the age group?
Our minimum age requirement is 18 to be a member of our community. But the average age of people that book onto our trips is generally 24-29.
Does it matter what my nationality is?
Not at all! We welcome people from all walks of life regardless of where they come from.
Can you help me with my visa application?
Absolutely, if you secure a spot on one of our trips, you can use the confirmation email and we can send you a copy of the receipt to assist you with your application. Just email us at [email protected]

I was charged twice
This can happen sometimes in the hussle and bussle of booking! But don’t worry, usually one of these payments will bounce back in a day or two. If it doesn’t, please let us know and we can look to issue a refund for you.
How old do I need to be?

Sail Squad FAQ’s
Where do we meet?
The meeting point will most likely be at Alimos port in Athens. We will confirm this 100% closer to the time.
Arrival/departure times
Check in time is generally around 5pm on Day 1, so we just ask that you arrive a decent time before that to make check in smooth. Check out will be at 6pm on the final night of the trip. We are encouraging people to book their own accommodation and stay the night in Athens so we can have one final blowout before everyone heads home, but that’s totally up to you!
What are the rooms like?
Rooms will be shared bunks (usually split between 2 or 3 people).
Do I need to know how to sail?
No sailing experience is required! We have a team of highly trained skippers on board to sail your boat around the coast of Greece.
Is there air conditioning on the boats?
There is air conditioning on the premium boats.
Are there showers on the boats?
Yes, there are showers on every boat. Usually around 3/4 bathroom areas.
Bathrooms?
There’s generally around 3-4 bathrooms on each boat, so you don’t all have to share one.
Start and end point?
The start and end point is Athens, we will be departing from Alimos port, doing a big loop and returning to the same point.
Can I switch boats?

Is there Wi-Fi on the boats?
No, there is no Wi-Fi on the boats.
Can I stay with my friend?
We will be sending out a personality questionnaire ahead of the trip to help us with room allocations. On this form, you can also request to stay with someone specific.
How many people are on my boat?
Generally the boats accommodate between 10 and 12 people.
Are there facilities to cook food?
Yes, there is an oven, microwave and fridge/freezer aboard the boat that you can use - just don’t expect to cook a large 3 course meal!
